Kurtis R. Hort, MD

Dr. Kurtis Hort is a board certified, and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in complex procedures of the foot and ankle. He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Hort completed a residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, FL, prior to his fellowship in Lower Extremity Reconstruction and Complex Foot and Ankle Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He has a deep understanding of complex wound care management, giving him the ability to treat severe wounds effectively through advanced grafting procedures to help minimze complications, promote faster healing and give his patiens better long-term outcomes.

Dr. Hort is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Duval County and St. Johns County medical societies and many more prestigious organizations. Research and teaching has always been a component of his practice has he has published many articles and lectured extensively both in the United States and abroad.
