Alexis T. Mugno, DPM

Dr. Alexis Mugno is a board-qualified podiatric specialist with extensive training and experience. She attended Barry University in Miami Shores, FL, where she received her Doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine and was awarded a place on the Dean’s List. She furthered her training by participating in a three-year, high volume, Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency program at Jackson North Medical Center in Miami, FL. This Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery Program enabled her to study and receive hands-on experience with surgery, didactics, wound care, and research. Dr. Mugno has participated in numerous clinical trials in wound care, as well as research on various podiatric conditions and treatments. Prior to her residency, she worked as a research associate at Yale University School of Medicine and held positions in the United States Air Force auxiliary. Dr. Mugno stays involved by serving as a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and American College of Podiatric Medicine.

Outside of the office, Dr. Mugno has a passion for surfing, golfing, cycling, spending time with her family and community service. She enjoys using her medical education to serve others through medical mission trips, such as The Dr. Charles C. Southerland Jr. Yucatan Children’s Project and Jose’s Hands in the Dominican Republic.
