Dr. Jeffrey B. Burnette is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Hip and Knee Replacement. Dr. Burnette graduated from The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina and obtained his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He completed his internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and went on to be the General Medical Officer at the Pentagon Army Health Clinic. Dr. Burnette also did his surgical residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, then later completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.
Dr. Burnette served as an orthopedic surgeon at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, and immediately continued his service as an orthopedic surgeon in Iraq. When he returned to the United States, Dr. Burnette went on to serve as the Officer In Charge of the Orthopedic Surgery Clinic and later the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at WBAMC. Dr. Burnette has also served as the Chief of Staff at Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon, GA.
A Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Burnette belongs to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Southern Orthopaedic Society, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
In his free time, Dr. Burnette likes to spend time with his family, go fishing, hiking and to the beach.

I was seen in a timely manner. I barely sat down and was called in for X-rays. I returned to the waiting room and was called in after about five minutes to the exam room. The personnel were all friendly and answered every question. Doctor Burnette was extremely cordial, very informative and definitely put me at ease. First visit for both knees. Not a candidate for surgery but appreciated Dr. Burnette’s time in explaining the why nots and best plan living with Agi g knees. Steroid injections in both knees and maintenance there after. He has a great personality. Honestly every person I encountered from the front desk to all the nurses are exceptional. Extremely pleasant professional while remaining very personable. I love that they have pain management and chiropractor services all through this location. I highly recommend.

First time seeing Dr Burnette, he was very nice, good bedside manner. He said I needed knee surgery. I jumped through the hoops that I had to before hand. He explained everything that will happen during the surgery, surprised me that it is now an out patient surgery. Dr. Burnette is great! He was able to determine that my mother's issue was not with her hip at all, rather arthritis in her back. I've often heard people say all surgeons focus on surgery. I made appointment online for left hip. Though Dr. Burnette focuses more on hip replacements he kindly addressed by hip pain, which was not a hip joint issue but more of a trochanter bursitis issue. I had hip replacement surgery with Burnette in June of 2022. The surgery went great! My wound ended up getting infected, due to another health condition that I have. Burnette and his team made sure that I had the best care possible, and got everything completely healed up! I am currently seeing him in preparation for knee replacement surgery this summer. The surgery was fabulous, I was up and walking around within the first 12 hours. The pain is gone and no pain pills! This was my first visit with Dr. Burnette. I was pleasantly surprised. He was confident, knowledgeable and polite. He knew right away that I'd need a knee replacement from the xrays. I've been trying to avoid it for a few years. He understood my concerns. He suggested an injection to address my pain along with a knee brace. I wouldn't hesitate to have him perform my surgery within the next few months. His PA, Erin, deserves a mention. She was very knowledgeable and polite. She administered the injection for me. She was gentle and it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be.
