Isaac A. Gooding, MD

Dr. Isaac Gooding is a board-certified, fellowship-trained interventional pain management specialist. Dr. Gooding attended New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY where he received his doctoral degree. Following medical school and his internship, Dr. Gooding trained as a Naval Flight Surgeon at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, FL. He then went on to complete a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in pain management at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Gooding is a decorated veteran, who has received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal X3, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, among other awards and recognitions. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists Uniform Services, Society of Anesthesiologists, and the North American Neuromodulation Society.

In his free time, Dr. Gooding enjoys staying active, traveling, spending time with his wife and two children, and the occasional round of golf.

Dr. Gooding introduced himself with politeness as I was a new patient. He gave me the time to explain my issues. He has a wonderful bedside manner and explained what he was seeing on my MRI. Dr Gooding gave me options of what would help with my medical situation. Dr. Gooding took the time to answer all of my questions. I had an excellent appointment and would highly recommend him to others.

Here’s what I like about him. From day one he learned about me and what caused me the pain I was having. Then it was a great talk about it and options. Loved that. Excellent experience from start to finish! Cultivating a feeling of warmth and trust within the first minutes of any medical encounter is not an easy task, considering the demands placed on the healthcare system now. The staff was courteous and professional. Doctor Gooding was very pleasant and caring. Doctor and his assistant took their time to hear my story and then gave me cortisone shots for my pain. Doctor explained beforehand and asked me if it was okay to begin a and said please go ahead. Great experience and will go back when and if it is needed.

Dr Gooding and his Team are amazing. They are so compassionate and caring. Dr Gooding is a great Dr. He will do everything in his power to help with a patients situation to get them pain free. My situation is very extensive and did not hesitate to know where his limits are and will refer to a surgeon in the group. But that is only after he has exhausted everything he can do. I can't say enough great things about Dr Gooding and his Team. I would definitely recommend him to anyone I come in contact with with chronic spinal pain.

Dania is lovely and thorough. She spent a lot of time with me and explained my situation. She showed me renderings of the back and I have a good understanding of the cause of my pain. The medical worker who I initially saw before the doctor was very helpful, she asked me a few questions and she answered my questions before Dr Gooding came in the room. When I saw Dr Gooding, he confirmed what the medical worker said, and I felt very comfortable during this appointment. No surprises to this point or any concerns about my options going forward. I think the whole staff who I interacted with was great, friendly and very knowledgeable about their field of expertise.

Dr. Gooding has been patient and kind and had helped me figure out my pain. Unlike other doctors that I’ve seen, Dr. Gooding takes EVERYTHING into consideration, my entire medical history, everything that is hurting, instead of just hyper focusing on what I came in for that day. He listened to me when I told him what treatments I was uncomfortable with doing again, and found alternatives that would work for me.

Didn't take long was taken back to see the Doctor - he took the time to review my MRI showing me exactly what my issues were and good advice on how to improve. I had my first consultation with Dr. Gooding late Jan. 2024 and my follow up appointment March 2024. Both times I received great service from staff, assistants, and Dr. Gooding. He is friendly, caring, professional, and gets right to the point. He offers great suggestions. His office in Pointe Vedra is very nice and clean. I called his office in an emergency situation. My s1 joint was so pain ful that I literally could not walk. The pain was unbearable. They said come in immediately and someone took me to their office. and they were amazing. He gave me a shot and eventually I walked out by myself. And he called 2 prescriptions. Without them I would have had to get to emergency room where they do not know me and would not have gotten help quickly. Dr Gooding and his staff are just amazingly professional, caring, helps in every way possible. .

Simply the best… And I’ve gone to many… listens to your problem, which equals an excellent diagnostician… When all is said and done and you feel like there’s no procedures that can help your pain, he always manages to try something thinking outside the box… It’s amazing when your knees hurt that sometimes it’s not your knees it’s your back… He accommodates my travel, which is unusual and I’ve never experienced that with any other physician I am blessed to have found Dr. Gooding

Today is my 4th visit with Dr. Gooding. The front office staff are pleasant and the on-time wait is unheard of. The nursing staff are also friendly and efficient. At the initial meeting with Dr. Gooding, he listened and discussed treatment plan. His staff handled the insurance approval in a timely manner. Once I arrived for treatment, I found Dr. Gooding to be all business and efficient. On follow up appointments I met with his PA, David Blair, PA-C. I was extremely impressed with the amount of information, time allowed for questions and his knowledge of my treatment. Some may find this method of service unusual, but I find to be well organized and efficient. I recommend Dr. Gooding for pain management.

I arrived early and fortunately then was taken back for x-rays and within minutes I was taken to the exam room where a scribe took my intake information. Then again within minutes Dr. Gooding came in. He and the assistant were pleasant and efficient without being hurried or harried. I've been to this office 4 times for different symptoms and procedures, and I have never had a bad experience. I'm retired from 40 years of doing ER Medicine so I can spot a good practice

Dr Gooding listened carefully to me, planned with me to alleviate the pain and performed the procedure. It worked perfectly and I don't have pain in my back for the first time in almost 3 years. This procedure should last 6 month to 1 year. He made sure that I understood each step of the procedure, he's a great doctor.
