Dr. Maximillian Lincoln is a double-fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint reconstruction and replacement. Dr. Lincoln received his medical degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He completed two fellowships, one at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, CA and another at Mount Sinai Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada specializing in adult reconstructive surgery and trauma.
In addition to his extensive fellowship training, Dr. Lincoln is the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Clay County. He is also the Medical Director for St. Vincent’s Clay County Center of Excellence for Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and is a fellow of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Lincoln is an amazing surgeon and doctor. He did my knee replacement which was doing great unfortunately 1 week post-op I fell shattering my femur. He then had to go back and repair that. I'm now 3 months post-op from that and doing well. It is a slow healing process but it is moving along. Dr Lincoln did my knee replacement 2 months ago and completely gave me my life back. He is the kindest, most compassionate doctor I have met in my 70 years. My PCP referred me to another surgeon who I felt rushed me, told me my revision was going to be very complicated and brushed me off. Exceptionally good at listening to your concerns and questions that you may have pre- and post-surgery. Always interested in your overall health even if it does not pertain to the reason for the visit. i.e. issues related to other bone/joint problems regardless if they may be very minor concern or not. Dr. Lincoln is also very good at providing multiple options for resolution for the reason of a visit and explains the pros and cons and short and long-term outcome expectation for each option. Dr. Lincoln gave me more than just a new right hip in November, 2018: He gave me back my life. I had always been active, but the arthritis was bringing that to an end. The surgery was a complete success, with rapid progression from walker to cane to unassisted walking. Now I am walking 5-6 miles a day, riding my bike, and enjoying all previous activities. My initial appointment Dr Lincoln diagnosis with 2 bad hips needing a bilateral hip replacement surgery. About 2 and a half weeks later, he performed total hip replacement on my RT hip. I am a distance runner of a certain age, so keeping body parts working well is important. At a dog park one day I was watching my puppy run with a bunch of other dcritters, when I got nailed, square in my left knee by a 65lb bull dog. PCP and I thought I could do a little re-hab and be fine. 3 months later the pain remained. She sent me to SEO where I met Dr Lincoln. He was awesome. checked out my knew, suspected damaged, ordered and MRI, and bingo, found tears to ACL & MCL. Into a brace I wenr. Thankfully, the brace allowed my knee to heal, such that I can go back to rehab at SEOS, and in July, begin running again. I have a lot of work to do, but now I'll have the time and body to train for the Boston and Ogden marathons. Dr Lincoln is really good, and I thank him for not having to cut on me. Dr. Lincoln determined quickly that the best solution to years of pain and discomfort was hip replacement. He used the direct superior method, which is minimally invasive. The procedure was flawless, his team was excellent, and two weeks after surgery I was doing jumping jacks. June 4, 2018 Dr Lincoln did a full right knee replacement. I am 3 months out and doing exceptionally well. My range of bend is 131-133 degrees, 3 degrees flat down. I faithfully did PT. Found out from hm that my hip pain could be managed with medication and PT, avoiding surgery. Started taking the prescribed medicine and feel better than I have in months! He was very thorough and listened to my issue. He clearly explained my options and I was glad to be able to choose the less invasive one.
