Dr. Patrick Jones is a board-certified fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He later completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction at the renowned Steadman-Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas.
Dr. Jones’ interest lies in arthroscopic surgery of the knee, elbow, and shoulder, with a special interest in shoulder replacements and cartilage restoration of the knee.

I recently had a reverse total shoulder replacement (right) by Dr. Jones. Surgery was great. Literally no pain just minor discomfort. I did follow Dr. Jones post op instructions to the tee. Dr. Jones also replaced my left shoulder (same procedure) last December. It went well also. If you have shoulder issues I most highly recommend Dr. Jones at Southeast Orthopedic. You're going to be glad you did!!!

Dr. Jones did a total reverse replacement of my right shoulder. After an injury and a surgery years ago from some where else; I was left with a deteriorating shoulder and finally the inability to use my right arm. He gave me choices and I chose the total reverse replacement. Now I have a new shoulder and can do the things I’ve been paying a contractor to do. It’s nice to have choices!Patient Submitted Review

My mother had fallen & broke her left upper & lower arm & was recently discharged from the hospital from that fall. Dr Jones & his staff provided excellent & professional orthopedic followup care. His bedside manner was pleasant and helpful too. Glad & grateful my parents are getting Mom’s needed shoulder ortho followup with Dr Jones & at Fleming Island Southeast Orthopedic Specialists.

Dr Jones is very knowledgeable and professional. One of the stand out part of my visit was in how Dr Jones explained the condition and treatment options clearly and in a very understanding and compassionate way. He also exhibits his true self , personality, likes and dislikes in association with the ailment. His professionalism is his primary focus. Dr. jones was very informative and polite and answered all my questions and concerns in a regular manner not just doctor analogies and he got my pain level in my knees down to almost non-existent which is awesome in my book. His staff was equally polite and helpful to all my questions and concerns would definitely recommend him to anybody who has orthopedic issue. I will most certainly go back to him if needed. Dr Jones, is a very nice and friendly Dr. I like that he assessed me, them suggested treatment. But did not push. He could tell that this was not my first ' rodeo ' with my shoulder and knee pain. Dr. Jones had reviewed my MRI and Xray discs and reports from my previous doctors' visits, bringing him up to date on my shoulder before seeing me today. He explained the new x-rays his office had taken before my appointment and showed me the photos, explaining the reasons for my shoulder pain. He also explained the reasons why i am having pain due to a tear and arthritis. Based on the motion range of my arm, he explained that i am not ready for a shoulder replacement at this time because of the range of motion i still have. Dr Jones came in, explained what was going on with my shoulder. He discussed what we could do and several options. He ordered another test and will see me in 2 weeks. He felt very empathetic and sincere in his concern. His assistant was also fantastic, i am so sorry but I was in enough pain from playing with the Xray techs that I spaced her name. Injured my knee and walked in to be treated by Dr jones. The overall operation of the site was very efficient and very client oriented. I had an X-ray, an evaluation and treatment. I am 3 months out from reverse shoulder replacement by Dr. Jones. He has been wonderful. He cares about his patients, and I love the fact that at his appointments, there is no wait time. My pain has been minimal because of following his protocol after surgery. According to Dr. Jones, I am ahead of time on movement with my shoulder and do not have to see him again until my annual check-up! I highly recommend Dr. Jones for your shoulder surgery. Respectfully, he is one of the best!
