Camden B. Burns

Dr. Camden B. Burns is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with expertise in spine surgery and orthopedic trauma. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, magna cum laude, from the University of Kentucky before completing his medical degree at Marshall University School of Medicine.
Following residency training in orthopedic surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Dr. Burns pursued advanced fellowship training in orthopedic trauma at the University of Kentucky and in spine surgery through the Harvard Combined Program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Since 2017, Dr. Burns has served patients clinically and trained residents as an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery in the Indiana University School of Medicine. His clinical expertise spans complex spine surgery and high-level orthopedic trauma care, with a commitment to advancing education and surgical excellence. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for both academic achievement and leadership, reflecting his dedication to improving outcomes for patients and mentoring the next generation of orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Burns finds energy in the outdoors, from skiing and golf to time spent with his family and two loyal dogs. He enjoys a lifestyle rooted in both adventure and connection with nature.
