Richard L. Snyder, MD

Dr. Richard Lance Snyder is a board-certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He brings over 25 years of diverse expertise to Southeast Orthopedic Specialists.

Dr. Snyder earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, completed his residency at the University of Kansas, and advanced his expertise by completing a shoulder and sports medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado and spine surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California. His comprehensive training enables him to offer expert care for various orthopedic conditions.

Recognized as the 2022 Northeast Florida Sports Physician of the Year, Dr. Snyder is highly regarded for his contributions to sports medicine. He has served as the team doctor for the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, University of Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Explorers, and Kansas City Royals and often works with other MLB teams and their roster of players.
As a lifelong athlete, high school and college All American, Dr. Snyder played football at the University of Kansas. His years spent on the field led him to have a passion for treating shoulder and elbow injuries.

Dr Snyder lives in Atlantic Beach with his wife, son and three dogs. He is an avid golfer, tennis player and loves reading in his spare time.
