Dr. Brett Puckett, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and microvascular surgery. He received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. Following medical school, he completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Florida Jacksonville Health Sciences Center. He then completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Texas San Antonio and the Hand Center of San Antonio.
Dr. Puckett previously served as the Director of Orthopedic Senior Clerkship and Assistant Professor at University of Florida Health Center in Jacksonville, FL.

Came in for a trigger finger. After the appointment, other than fixing my finger, let me know how carpal tunnel and Ulnar are reducing the muscle mass in my hands and arms. I first was seen by Dr. Puckett this past Spring (April 2020) for a slightly, but painful fractured wrist. Him and his assistant were both, friendly, professional, concerned, and caring. Dr Puckett is very kind, compassionate, and when he says we're going to fix this, he means it. A few years back I lost most use of a thumb. I got it back. Recently I had a similar issue with a pinky. He injected it yesterday, and I can close my fist today as he told me I would. We know there are carpal tunnel issues going on, especially on one hand, and when those must be surgically addressed, there is no one else I would trust like I do him to fix my hands, as my hands are my livelihood. I had to have surgery for a carpal tunnel release, as well as a ganglion cyst removed from my right hand/wrist. He gave me detailed information about the surgery. I felt that my hand was in his hands. Although my wrist became infected, Dr Puckett never skipped a beat. Dr Puckett is the kindest, most compassionate doctor I’ve ever met. I am in my mid 30s with a lifelong auto immune disease that has affected me physically, mentally, and emotionally in the last year, and if that wasn’t enough, I tore a ligament in my finger that needed surgical repair.
