Alexander J. Lampley

Dr. Alexander Lampley is a board certified, and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in hand surgery. He attended and graduated from Bucknell University and Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, with honors. After studying orthopedic surgery at the esteemed Duke University Medical Center he completed a Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship with extensive training in microvascular surgery at the prestigious Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis, IN.
Dr. Lampley specializes in treatments for both adult and pediatric disorders pertaining to the upper extremities, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. He has a particular interest in sports-related injuries, peripheral nerve conditions, arthritis, and upper extremity reconstruction utilizing nerve and tendon transfers.
Dr. Lampley has been the recipient of many awards throughout his career including the James Urbaniak Research Excellence Award at Duke Medical Center, the 5th Annual Extremity Summit Best Resident Research Award, the Bucknell Men’s Water Polo Coaches Award, and numerous others. In addition to these awards, he serves as a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Piedmont Orthopaedic Society.
