John Woeste, MD

John Woeste, MD

Dr. Woeste brings over 30 years of experience as a dual board-certified anesthesiologist and pain specialist. Throughout his career, he has helped thousands of North Floridians find relief and hope through expert care, steady leadership, and a down-to-earth approach. He has served as Director of Anesthesiology and Pain Management Services in two major Jacksonville hospital systems and has led both hospital based and freestanding pain practices— including his most recent venture on the Baptist Beaches Hospital campus, which grew to become one of the largest in North Florida.
A Gainesville native, Dr. Woeste earned his medical degree from the University of Florida and completed his residency in anesthesiology at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, including nine months of specialty training in pain medicine.

He is passionate about connecting with patients, understanding the challenges they face, and helping them chart a path toward lasting relief and a fuller life.
In his free time, he is an amateur gardener, history reader, and music enthusiast. He loves people, dogs, and Gator sports. As a devoted husband, he and his brilliant physician wife are raising three frequently embarrassed sons. His hobbies are nerdy, and his jokes? Armed and dadly.
